During your Geography course you will learn to use a range of transferable skills which include collecting, analysing and interpreting data, communicating information in a variety of ways and decision-making skills. Geography focuses on understanding the interrelationship between people and their varied environments and the issues and problems which arise from the relationships.

Geography combines well with other subjects too.  If you are planning to go into further or higher education then, combined with sciences such as Biology, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry, Geography supports applications for almost any science based university or college course, such as Environmental Science, Oceanography or Psychology.  Combined with other Humanities subjects, such as Psychology, Sociology, English and History, it supports an equally wide range of courses, such as Law, Media and Cultural Studies, Politics and Philiosphy.
