Summary of Home Learning Arrangements

KEY STAGE 3
In Year 7, 8 and 9 students are given a homework project each half.  Projects are designed to extend and develop skills taught in the classroom or to study and appreciate the work of professional artists.  Students should spend approximately 2 hours completing their projects.  Due dates are set by individual teachers.  Students are able to access computers and printers at lunchtimes to complete work if they do not have access to them at home.  They should seek permission from their teacher first.  Home learning projects are available on the school website/Moodle.

KEY STAGE 4
Students are expected to spend one hour per week on homework in both Year 10 and 11.  Work in Year 10 focuses on practice and preparation for their coursework and development of knowledge and understanding for each project.  Students can arrange to come in and work with their teachers after school to complete their homework. This allows students to get further support from staff and allows them to use materials in their classrooms.

KEY STAGE 5
Students often complete a great deal of extra work. Many students work independently on their work and enjoy coming in during their free time to work on their projects.
