The Equestrian Club Comes Into School!

Another first for the equestrian team! There cannot be many state schools that have an Equestrian Club - certainly not one as successful as Coundon's

They came into school on May 1st to show off both their skills and their rosettes.

Central Horse Magazine Competition

Coundon Ace and Coundon Stars took part in the team show jumping event hosted by Central Horse news magazine. There were ten fast and furious teams in this section, the weather was awful, but despite this the teams came fourth and Seventh.

Equestrian Club News

We have many talented students in Godiva College; however Katie Masterson is going from strength to strength in a number of sporting disciplines. As well as being successful in several of the affiliated show jumping events, she has competed in the regional triathlon. She successfully completed the shooting, swimming and combined run and swim event and has qualified for the British Nationals, which take place in April. New season brings great success!

Natalie McQuiggan

Natalie McQuiggan competed at Ingliston Equestrian Centre in Scotland and came second after two days of fierce competition.  She is now only one of twenty-five in the country to qualify to compete at the Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead this year.  We are absolutely thrilled as only the best riders in the country compete there. She also has qualified for the Pony of the Year show 2013 in Buckinghamshire at the end of March.  This is looking to be one of the biggest and best events yet, we will be keeping our fingers crossed for her.
