School Uniform 2012/13

These uniform requirements apply to all students in Key Stages 3 and 4.

In addtion, we expect all post 16 students to be dressed semi-professionally for working in a learning environment.

Boys Uniform Girls Uniform

Black blazer with school badge
White shirt with Coundon Court tie (clip on)
Plain, black school trousers (Not cords, pin-stripe or jeans-type trousers.)

Or
Knee-length black school skirt (not tight, fitted mini skirts or other fashion skirts)
Girls are encouraged to wear black tights. (Not leggings.)

An optional black ‘V neck’ school jumper or black school cardigan that incorporates the school's official logo is available from a range of stockists for both girls and boys.

These are the only knitwear garments that are permitted to be worn in school. These are worn in addition to and NOT instead of the school blazer.

Plain black shoes, with flat or low heels. All laces should be black
(Trainers are not acceptable and may only be worn in school for PE lessons).
Outdoor coats and scarf must be a plain, dark colour without logos. 

Make-up and Jewellery

Students are not allowed to wear excessive make-up in school. 
Excessive jewellery is not allowed. One sleeper stud in each ear is permitted along with one plain finger ring. In line with health and safety guidance, both of these must be removable for PE and Technology lessons. On health and safety grounds no other body piercings are allowed.

 

PE Sportwear Policy

Students who are involved in extra curricular activities during the school day must always arrive and leave in school uniform and change into suitable alternative clothing when required to do so.

Boys Sportswear Girls Sportswear

A towel for all lessons (recommended)
White T-shirt and white shorts for indoor activities
Gold/blue hoop Rugby shirt and navy blue shorts for games
Games socks (gold/blue hoop)
Rugby or football boots (Rugby studs needed)
Sports Trainers
Gum shield (recommended for hockey and rugby)
A dark track suit may be worn for games lessons during poor weather.
For dance lessons boys must wear either a black T shirt, black shorts or black track suit bottoms with black trainers.

Gum shield (recommended for hockey)
A team games skirt can be purchased through the PE Faculty if your daughter represents the school – this skirt can be worn in PE lessons.
For dance lessons girls must wear either a black T shirt or their white aertex blouse with collar, black shorts or black track suit bottoms with black trainers. If wearing shorts girls may also wear black leggings.

 

Clothing Availability

Clothing can be purchased from a wide range of stockists across the city. As school badges can be purchased separately there is no requirement for blazers to be purchased with Coundon badges already attached.
